What the job actually looks like
You will provide daytime dog walking while our clients are at work, plus cat care in our clients' homes when they travel. We operate seven days a week, 9am to 5pm. Dog walking runs mostly Monday through Friday during the day, with cat visits and some after-hours care mixed through the week.
This is active, outdoor, hands on work in every season. A full dog walking day can add up to 5 to 7 miles of walking, so comfortable shoes and a positive attitude go a long way. You will drive your own vehicle between clients, so a reliable, insured car matters. Most of our team averages around 100 miles for every 20 hours worked.

The confidence to ask questions any time a situation is unclear
A plus, not a must: previous experience with animals in a veterinary clinic, boarding facility, or doggy daycare.

You live in Columbia, and living inside our service area is a plus

You have a reliable, insured vehicle that can safely transport animals
Pay and benefits
Pay from $15/hr — Every team member is a W-2 employee, never a 1099 contractor.
Mileage — Optional reimbursement of $0.20 per mile for the driving you do.

Tips — Clients can add gratuity when you go above and beyond.
Paid training — Paid and on the job training so you feel ready from day one.
